Wow you beat me to it, I had replaced a shine with an authentic amuse and took a ton of pics, never got the time to post them though. I will say after experiencing both I would never buy a replica part again. I'd rather stay Oem than downgrade quality. I personally like shine and their products, but it's all personal preference for me.

Another quick update : The wind deflectors on the shine bumper are actually better than the ones on the authentic bumper. Both sides of my bumper have developed a hairline crack along the top of the deflector where it meets the bumper. I had noticed before they were painted that the whole pointed area as all just resin. There's no fiberglass for the whole upper part. The shine one had fiberglass run much closer to the top so it's not as prone to cracking there.

Looks like the fiberglass wasn't laid all the way into the mold in those corners and they just used resin to fill that area.

[attachment=31850:2012-12-20 22.31.32.png] I had a hard time getting a clear shot of it since I just remembered and took a picture with my phone. You can see the crack developing on the left side of the circled area. That whole upper area is about 1/4 in thick in resin and builds that whole point. Seems like a bump into something would easily finish the crack.

And license plate bracket doesn't fit. Or I dont know how to fit it lol ( not that I was planning on using it)
Anyways those are my small and only complaints on the bumper. Otherwise I love it

japan license plates bolts are spaced differently from the US.

also, yes the holes are probably for an AP1 seeing as how Amuse created this bumper quite a while ago. My ASM bumper is the same--made for Ap1 under panels.

I have a shine amuse r1 replica as well.

it fits pretty well. only part that is slightly off is the driver side where it meets the hood and fender. most of the ones I've seen are pretty well fitted. 8/10 I would say.

most s2k owners can't even tell if it's authentic or replica and usually end up asking me

I would of went authentic if they offered it in poly uthrene, my bumper just takes too much of a beating for fiberglass.

as to the OP, I have an ap1 and the bolts underneath took a bit of work to line things up but they fit fine

This is a good article. I was told I got the first Shine bumper off the line, which my body shop told me was the reason for certain oddities. The fitment was similar to how you described it. I'll likely get a new one soon and was thinking of getting the authentic as well, but not so much after reading your review. Anyone know of Shine's current quality of the Amuse bumper?
