Do any of you guys know of sure fire ways to identify whether an R1 bumper is authentic or not. Are there any distinct markings? If anyone can provide detailed pictures of some authentic ones that would be excellent. I've search the internet for some info and haven't come up with anything concrete.

No worries! Those guys are geniuses at identifying that stuff.

 

ive had 3 amuse bumpers- 2 reps and finally my current authentic, fitment on the reps is 6-8/10 but a good shop can really make it fit. the authentic fits 9/10 but still not perfect, major differences really are the authentic is made out of thicker fiberglass, has rivets where oem mounting locations go, and comes with grills. thats really it.
