Thumbs up Axial Flow Shifter

Hey all!

I just got my Axial Flow short shifter in. Came in really quick, just ordered it Tuesday (its Thursday).

One question, in all the instructions I have seen it says be sure the shifter has plenty of crease. What grease should I use?

MOBIL 1 grease. Yes, it exists. Any gen purpose grease will do but this one is my fav.

I used Honda's Urea grease.

I think it came in a 2oz. container. I used a good bit when I installed the shifter, then got some rattles/buzzing, so I used an entire container of it - just packed it in - and it got rid of nearly all noise from the shifter.

So when you hear "use plenty of grease" they mean, use PLENTY of grease.

Awesome, thanks. Does the Honda grease work any better than the Mobil 1 grease?

The Honda dealership is a little bit away, but not a big deal if it is worth it.

Thanks for that. I've also heard zip tying the boot helps too. I'll try both.

Thanks!
