Default Ballade Sports Header Gains?

Hi All

I installed a Ballade Sports Header on my car in May this year, and had it returned. My other mods are 70/63mm (2.75/2.5in) Dual Exit Exhaust, K&N FIPK & and a tune. I've dynoed the car on 3 different occasions at the same dyno place since fitting the header (I've dynoed at this place at least 10 different times previously). I have not seen any gains in peak power, both hp and ft/lbs. My car still averages around 216whp The car does feel more responsive in the lower rpm, which is evident on the dyno graph and it sounds amazing. I'm just curious as to how some people see "10whp" increases in peak power

Btw, my car is a EDM spec with the F20C2 motor.

1st post bashing Ballade products new user. I get it people are mad at them and trying to bad mouth them.
I have this header and I noticed a huge mid range difference on my car. I'm very happy with this. I don't have dyno #'s but butt dyno say it works well.
I also have I/H/E with the Karcept Greddy E manage tune it's a much better car all around after a good tune.

Not bashing them at all. I am happy with the midrange gains and the sound. Those are 2 positives and is good enough for me to keep it on the car. Just curious as to why i havent made any peak power gains, maybe my car isn't running 100%

Was this header advertised at making more peak power over stock? Or more power under the curve? The stock header is extremely efficient and hard to build on, so most good aftermarket headers will either focus their design on making more power under the curve or more up top. Without a host of supplemental mods, its highly unlikely you will ever bolt on a header and see an increase in power throughout the entire rpm range. Sound and weight savings should be your expectation first. I've never bothered with spending good money on an aftermarket header for these reasons.

Maybe that's not the header design???

This is already a peaky engine, its not out of the question to think a re design of a header that offers a fatter midrange would be a selling point. If they claimed more peak hp as well as midrange, then that's suspect to me. Like I said in other post, its pretty unlikely given the stock header design that your going to gain power in both areas of the curve. With most aftermarket headers for this car you are lucky to not lose power somewhere in the curve, whether you stay the same or pick up a few somewhere else. if you stay the same somewhere in the curve but gain somewhere else with a header, then its a win as far as i'm concerned, if you can handle the cost and added noise.

What Junky said. Most bolt ons seem to have a great effect on midrange over whatever your peak HP number was unless the bolt on is a supercharger/turbo.

Thanks @ S2000_junky & Manga_spawn for your helpful responses. This is the first car that I've ever modded so I'm still learning. Tbh i just wanted the car to sound nice - with my i/h/e combo, it sounds amazing and that's good enough for me.
