battery relocation help?

do i need the negative ground on the firewall? or can i take it off the firewall and just ground the trunk where the battery will be

Do you mean the negative battery cable by the corner on the firewall?if so yes you can remove it and use it as the ground strap for the battery in the trunk of the car.
