Default Berk Exhaust CEL Help

Hi all
Just fitted my BErk Finally with test pipe option. Now it was fine for about 20miles then all of a sudden the cel light popped on. Now is there anything I can do to rectify this as the berk has the cel fix built in. WIll it cause any damage to run the car with the cel on?

I also bought a new 02 sensor as couldnt for the life of me get the old one out of the cat...would this help?

thanks

Did you reset the ecu after fitting decat,it will run bit weaker now
will not do any damage with light on,secondary lambda is a catalyst efficiency test not a ecu fueling device.

Disconnecting the battery will remove the cel, try that and hopefully it wont come back for a while.
One of those cel fix things you linked to could probably help some but there are much cheaper ones available.

So wait, do you or do you not currently have the secondary O2 sensor plugged into the test-pipe?

The first thing I'd do is crawl under the car the car and double-check that it's wired in correctly and snug.

And no, the secondary O2 sensor is useless from a performance perspective. It will not damage or have any effect on your car's health.

Right thanks for all the replies. Yes I do and did have the secondary 02 sensor plugged in all along. I had to purchase a new one as the one on the car was stuck something crazy.
I didnt intitially reset the ecu/disconnect battery as I wasnt sure of my radio code but I have found it now and have disconnected/reconnected the battery and light has gone out for now. I should have done thius too start with right? Hopefully this will sort things out. Anyways shes sounds something amazing now on full chat was just concerned about the cel.

Should be ok, but the CEL may return (each one is different, especially if you have a 2006+ model). If it does return, call BERK to see if they have another adapter they can send your way or try a spark plug defouler/another CEL fix (like BLOX) - should take care of it.
