Berk header back with HFC option
I have the Berk header, HFC and single 3" system. It has a bit of a drone around 75, but is pretty much gone at 80. When I moved to CA I had Bryan fab me up a pipe so I could add my factory cat in for emissions and with the stock cat installed I love the way it sounds, totally gets rid of the drone and mellows it out perfectly for me. Still quite a bit louder than stock but not as raspy and the drone is gone
I do believe the HKS Hi power is 75mm's so its very very close to 3inches (76.3mm or something like that) like the Berk. Honestly, I think getting a 3inch test pipe would be a cheaper option. But you could easily sell both the HKS and test pipe and get all the money you would spend on the Berk back. I don't think any exhaust matches the Berks power to price ratio (that being my opinion of course)

I'm running HKS Hi power with a Berk HFC and was wondering if getting a Berk Header would be a good choice?
BearNVA, Berk makes a great header that I doubt you'd be dissapointed with. As far as headers go though, you should head over to the N/A subforum, and take a look at the header list. There's lots of good options, the Berk being among them.
To the OP: While I don't have the same setup as you, I did switch from a 3" HFC to a 3" TP, and while sonically the exhaust did change, I'm not sure it'd necessarily be in volume. With the TP things seem to be at a slightly higher pitch, with a bit more 'range' and 'echo' to it; while the HFC seemed to keep the sound a bit deeper and mutes the sound from farther distances. Also the drone characteristics will shift in RPM a bit between the two. Just to re-iterate, while they're definitely different sound profiles, it's not exactly the volume that changes. I prefer the sound of the HFC personally, and will actually be re-installing a new HFC (Berk this time, it was an Asura before) soon.
