Id be intrested to see that, as far as i know all headers should have flush inner piping because its supposed to be a smooth flowing system. Having it sitting in the pipe would definately not be smooth flowing. But post a pic up, im curious. Regardless, i have burns from leaks and cyl 3 runner is damaged aswell

Header, my motor is fine, after swapping to oem (off an ap2, mine is ap1) all noises and leaks vanished so it was definately header related

Here's the pictures. This is 100% new, unused header. Yours is on cylinder 1, while mine is on cylinder 4.

your header seems fine to me man. If there would be a leak, you'd see a lot more of blak deposits and o2 sensor might get triggered...

noooo.... thats not normal. When i got mine, they were ALL flush with the bracket, as they should be. I spoke with Bryan and he said they slide a tube into the header and have a tool to widen it to mate up with the outer pipe. This is supposed to make a very smooth flow. Your #4 cylinder looks bad, i would contact them about it. That rough edge looks like it wouldnt seal properly. And the fact that my number 4 is perfectly smooth shows that there is some sort of issue. Considering how many headers they make, a few lemons are to be expected. I am going to speak with him about my replacement header before he ships it out to make sure everything is good with it and ill post up pics of what its supposed to look like.

Adjusted my valves and most of my tick was eliminated. I'm reusing the OEM doughnut gasket so I know there will be a faint tick. I guess the OEM head sheilds and thick tubing muffled the noise.

You have more moving parts in the head than most motors, so you'd better get used to some noise.

I still haven't put my header on and I'm going to be working my *** off this month.
