I have a berks test pipe installed, no CEL, no bad smell, good hp gains. maybe your car is one of the few that doesnt like the tp.

 

'06+ usually has trouble with the CEL even with the fix on.

 

yeah i have an 06 with the berk tp. i had to put the cel fix that came with it and another antifouler on it to get rid of the cel. i love it. i liked the sound but it wasn't loud enough so i got and invidia and no, i'm not a ricer loud freak; i got the v4 or q300, the quiet one....

 

Yeah hopefully with the foulers it will disappear but I can definitely feel the gains with that and the intake opened and a k&n drop in filter installed. I love the sound too, no drone whatsoever, but not very loud in the car, however outside the car its definitely noticeable. I am leaning towards a single exit exhaust, apexi gt spec most likely but the greddy ti power is growing on me a lot and so is the t1r 70 ti.

 

hmm im in the same boat as you. I have a MY04 with gutted resonator and drop in, but want to get a test pipe if i can find on thats a decent price, maby under 100 shipped. Miami enforcement for emissions is a joke.

Please don't cut off your resonator. Search youtube for resonator and test pipe and you'll know what I'm talking about. It sounds like absolue $shit, expecially with a testpipe.

 

I put a berk on my 06 and had no trouble with cels. But it made one tip on my exhaust stick out more so I took it off.

 

how did it affect the alignment of your exhaust tips?
