Default Berk technology 3" exhaust

Hi, i am looking to get a Berk Technology 3" headerback exhaust. For anybody who has one or has experience with one, can i drive with it everyday? My friend has a greddy ti-c 70mm single and i thought that it was too loud (without silencer in). How does the berk compare to the greddy?

Thanks,

Alex

I have no idea how it's like compared to the Ti-C but I removed mine within a day. However I have to admit that it sounds nice. Best sound exhuast I've ever heard.

But IMO it is not a DD exhaust, I had the Hi-Flow cat version as well. There is noticeable drone upon accelerating from 3K-4K but VTEC is amazing. Not sure if. hardtop with gutted soft top makes any difference but I couldn't drive with it in SoCal.

Maybe you can find someone local to you with it, and go for a ride.

10k+ miles later. Yes it's DD-able. The sound level is much worse in a CR since there is no sound deadening material and I think it's manageable. It is comparable to Ti-C, and I think it's a little better than the Ti-C.

You will never try so fast as to shift into 6th gear while DDing with this exhaust. I can't stand driving long distances with it. 3-4k rpm is brutal with a hardtop. I race to 6th gear.

WOT sounds like sex though it really is an amazing sound. I wouldn't use it for DDing but maybe I'm a wuss.

I hate driving to autox with it on but I love it once I'm there

Ok so looks like for dd it might not be the best idea. I might consider the hks high power exhaust because I've heard it's quiet but sounds awesome

Invidia q300 is a popular exhaust from DD. The Berk is quite loud but it is amazing at WOT. I DD with it and interstate speeds are horrible. There aren't many singles that are quite.

I switched from a TIC to the Berk. It's hard to tell you it is or isn't SF friendly since sound is subjective. I think the Berk is louder compared to the Tic but not bad. The berk has a good sweet spot that makes it almost silent around 45-50, which is where I spend most of my time around town. I did add a resonator to help with rasp and it helped a lot with that and interior drone. I do feel the hfc version would be better, but if you think the TIC its too loud, I think you still find the Berk to loud also.

Yah i am looking at the q300 single now as it seems to be the better choice for dd (at least for me). Do you know if it makes any power?
