Default Best aftermarket pads

I am really disapointed in the OEM pads, they really don't stop that well and the dust is INSANE. I have ran Hawk HP+ on my old car for the track/autox and they honestly generate about the same amount of dust as the OEM S2k pads. So I am on the hunt for a new pad that will provide better stoping power than the OEM pads and I can use at the occasional autox. I was just wondering what the general consensus was on the forum?

Hmm, my stock pads don't seem to leave a lot of dust. Are you sure yours are stock?

I agree with bgoetz on all the above and i bought my car brand new so i know they are stock pads. I have ran both Hawk HP+ and HPS

Yes the Hawk HP+ seem to generate about equal brake dust to OEM oh and dont you forget about how damn squeaky those things get. I have also owned a set of HPS they seem to be pretty good pads with less dust and noise. Are these better then stock S2000 pads? I too am on the hunt for new pads when my stockers wear out for the same purposes but noise is a bigger deal to me then the dust.

I also agree. I hate my pads.

i think my stock pads are good enough, but i can see where on a track or curving through a mountain road with lots of braking how fade can occur. but i have to agree with the break dust, everytime i was my car a load of dust is on my rims and its nasty

I will join the train, i am also looking for new pads, i honestly dont mind the stock pads since all i do is daily driving with alittle spirited driving in there, but the stock pads are pretty expensive right? Any suggestions...

^ +1 i'de like some stronger pads that don't squeak. Less dust would be nice too, but I guess I can't have everything.

AP1 pads seem to be recommended for dust reduction. Haven't tried them myself though.

Project Mu - B Force. About the same amount of dust, but much greater stopping power.

Try the EBC Green Stuff. They are a great pad with plenty of bite and the dust isnt too bad. What I liked is that the dust you do get seems to come off with just water.
