Default Best Mod Ever

So I have owned my MY01 w/65k miles for 1 1/2 years and yesterday I decided to adjust the throttle cable tension. This is the best mod ever. I never realized how much slack I had in the cable but there was actually a droop in the wire. I'm not sure I was ever able to go WOT before because the car has such a different feel to it now. Unbelievable. And the throttle response is just amazing. I thought my toda flywheel was great but this beats it hands down. Plus it was free. I have fallen in love with my car all over again just because of a 2 min procedure. I highly recomend this to everyone if you havent already done so.

A very small amount of slack. You need to make sure you are able to let it close all the way. If it can't then you made it too tight.
I did this and also saw a real nice gain in throttle response.

some yes but not the amount I had. at first I had adjusted it to tight because the car was ideling at 1300 rpm because the throttle plate was being held open so I had to loosen it a bit until I got the idle back to normal. The cable stretches over time.

i did it the first day i got my car! best way to do it is to start the car and let it warm up. and adjust till the idle starts to go up. and then back off a bit and tighten and ur ready to go
