Blox new tct
I LOVE the design of the Blox tensioner. A simple spring loaded ratchet mechanism. This design worked flawless on all japanese Motorcycle engines since the 70s.
Problems occured after the manufatuers changed the design to tensioners that work with oil pressure. I never undertand why the have done this, altering a perfectly working simple machnism to the worst.
Yes, problem with Billmann Tensioner is that he dont ship internatinall, this was alao debatetd in the German S2000 community.

Yeah I think people need to start talking more about the method of operation instead of complaining about brand. As far as I know this design was sold to Blox. I'd be interested to hear about the ratcheting design and its capabilities over an OEM-style. Don't the K-series use a ratcheting style?
Regardless, the Billman TCT solved all longevity and reliability concerns years ago, and is the trusted gold standard; it's just nice to see new products developed and produced for our platform.

Yep, already running a Billman so i'm good, but great to see continued development/options for future needs if they turn out to be good reliable options. I've never been one to get hung up on brand names, but I am very mindful about what the products duty is and will then weigh things out if it goes on my car or not. I have to say this guy in the video has some balls. I personally would not be first in line risking my motor to save $100-$200. I am almost willing to risk anything else.

@ Kyle:
Yes, the K-seris hes a mechanic, ratchet style tensioner. Honda K Series Tensioner - The Truth Behind The Failure - Honda Tuning Magazine
Prooven, flawless working design. I wonder why honda choose this design again after the oil-hydraulic operated tenioners.

You won't have any issues. Too many skeptical s2k owners on here. For the record I original designed this and sold the rights to Blox. It ran successfully on our first prototype car, (BC/Cwest S2000) I also have it on my current time attack car as well as my street S2000. I designed it in 2008 and still have it in my street car. It's based on the same concept as the K series yet improved to not have the issues as the K series OEM unit. The same design works flawless on a lot of different OE ratchet type tensioner. Personally, I'm not a fan of the S2000 worm gear style especially if you are going to run aftermarket valve springs.
