I'm going to buy one, I'd like to check it out.
Posting # 30 Point out that it´s maybe a Honda K20 Tensioner in a Housing wich fits our F series engines?

I'm convinced it's for an SR20DET. The similarities are striking. If you look closely, the mechanism and profile is exactly the same, as well as you can see that the black Blox housing is surrounding the internals as opposed to being a part of it.

Pulled my engine to refresh the bottom end and build the head for reasons unrelated, but the Blox TCT has still ran strong and there is 0 new wear on the chain or guides. I still highly recommend.

Wanted to check in also. My Blox TCT has also been going strong and is quiet as can be....I am running around 550rwhp 360tq to boot. HIGHLY recommend...no more worm gear wear issues. All ratchet based.

It's based on the same concept as the K series yet improved to not have the issues as the K series OEM unit. The same design works flawless on a lot of different OE ratchet type tensioner. Personally, I'm not a fan of the S2000 worm gear style especially if you are going to run aftermarket valve springs.
@Tekdork Could you go into some more detail on how your design is improved over the lack luster K series rachet? Not arguing the rachet style is bad, I am just aware of the wear issues they had on the teeth.

Recently put one on a buddy's 190k mile S2k that came with a Ballade tensioner - calmed down the noise considerably and hasn't had any issues. I also plan on installing one on my own car (I already have it). The only unfortunate thing is just the BLOX name, but it's a quality product they just happened to buy the rights to. I'll keep this updated between my buddy's car and mine, but there's a lot more of these in the wild than you might think. These are talked about a lot more on the FB groups and so far no reported issues.

Worm gear wear was never an issue on any tensioner on the market. That is a false statement.

Never once did you mention in this thread, or to me, that your engine had BC cams. I specifically asked you to state whether or not you had aftermarket cams. You only told me this after you were having a small startup noise.

The noise was there because you do not have the proper application TCT.

I already told you! I did NOT have the BC Cams when I purchased your TCT....You are the one stating false statements. My cams were put on end of the next year....You asked if I had cams to let you know. I didn't respond because I did not have cams at that time.....if you like, I can send you the receipt from Brian Crower when the cams were purchased. You ask the question but you never state WHY you ask that question. I never knew you had two versions.

And the fact that I didn't respond, you may want to consider going forward warning people with a DISCLAIMER that if they buy they version I bought and then upgrade their cams later, they have to purchase a new TCT and the one they have will not work anymore!

Who wants to buy twice anyway?

When I posted above, I was not aware you even had a special version....

Btw, my Blox is going strong!
