Default Brake Pads

Hey guys...changing my pads soon and wanted to get some advice on pads..

Some extra grip would be nice and I don't mind dust..I just don't want anything too loud..squeakingg

Will not be doing any track anytime soon(pay off car first!)...but do go on spirited drives

Would oe be best??

Thanks!

I'm trying to remember ... has this question ever been asked before? It's hazy, but I think the 8-ball says "signs point to yes".

I've used Hawk HPS before and loved them, not quite as grabby when cold as stock but they only get better with some heat in them. They probably wouldn't be good for the track but as far as a fast road pad they are fantastic. On a side note they had very little dust as well which was pretty cool too.

No, you're wrong. It took much less time to type that than it would have to tell you all about brake pad compounds.

"Ne ways", you seem to be so busy that you can't even type out your words, so it's no wonder you are too busy to do your own research. I'm honored such a busy person took time out to give me a two-paragraph response to my (fairly gentle) suggestion that all he needs to do to answer his question is check through the previous posts on the site.

For OEM pads they are pretty damn good, the only thing I hate is the brake dust they create that seems to stain the wheels, it must be a thing with honda oem pad compunds because my friends rsx does the same thing. I really have nothing bad to say about the Hawk HPS's though but I definitely noticed a difference in pedal feel in my Gti.

FWIW, AP1 pads have less dust than AP2 pads.
