So im getting a new brake system for my ap1 01. Im not tracking anytime soon but i do canyon and plan on autocrossing soon. These are my options so far (no particular order)

1. Front- brembo blanks, Rear- stoptech slotted, Stoptech ss lines, Pads f+r- hawk hps or hps+

2. Front- brembo blanks, Rear- stoptech slotted, Stoptech ss lines, Pads f+r- akebono proAct or performance

3. Front- brembo blanks, Rear- Centrick blank, stoptech ss lines, Pads f+r- hawk hps or hps+

4. Front- brembo blanks, Rear- Centrick blank, stoptech ss lines, Pads f+r- akebono proAct or performance

I might actually get goodrich ss lines as well. Let me know if these setups are any good or are there any better suggestions out there then please let me know. thanks

no need to go with expensive rotors drilled and and or slotted is just aesthetics it actually reduces the surface area the pad comes in contact with. so get the cheapest blanks you can get your hands on. also hawk hps pads are known to suck and are worse than oem from what i read.

this is my set up and i am very very happy with it for street/autox
oem blanks
axxis ultimate pads (dust and squeal)
goodridge ss lines
ate super blue fluid

 

Street autox and DE

oem/Napa blanks
Carbotech XP 8/10 (DE and during tracking season) OEM during winter
SS lines (GR Or ST)
Motul 600

 

I have the HP+ pads. They have great bite cold and hot, but they will squeal and dust heavily. If you're not tracking, stay away unless you don't mind these drawbacks. Take a look at the EBC Green or Red pads (or their equivalents from other manufacturers), low dust and noise so it keeps your ride classy. I'll be stepping into Reds for the next brake job.

One item you missed on your list is brake fluid. It should be first on your list, in my opinion. Do a full flush with a DOT 4 or one of the performance fluids like ATE Super Blue like Back S2K mentioned above. This is especially key if you don't know the maintenance history of the car.

 

so wat if i went wit front brembo rear centric and stoptech pads all around? Evasive also quoted me for these and they include flushing with motul rbf 600 and stoptech ss lines

 

or better yet how about brembo front and stoptech blank rear rotors with stoptech lines and pads. Again I can get a discount at Evasive if i buy stoptech stuff from there

 

Cheapest rotors I can find and I'd go with carbotech 8/6 pads since your only auto crossing
