Default Brembo

Just wondering if anyone knows if the oem brembos that come on the aforementioned models can work for our cars with custom brackets and rotors. They all look like the GT bbk Brembo sells for +/- $2500. You can come across these fairly cheap at junkyards and the TL ones sell for around $300 a piece brand new.

That's a good question. I don't think they are the quality of caliper that you get when you buy the BBK from Brmebo.

I don't know. One of my best friends has an Evo and I examined the caliper when he was doing a pad change. Looks identical to me . . .

You can try FastBrakes.com. They said they now have a fitment for the S2000 using the TL Brembo caliper. I'm unsure if it uses a custom bracket or not.

You will also have to worry about wheel offsets.

I used to have an Evo too. Trust me it's not the same quality. They are nice, but not the same quality.

And I had an '05 STi, I too believe that it is not the same quality.

The factory Brembo's (even with aftermarket pads) could not hold up to extended run sessions on the track (20+ laps). I eventually replaced the fronts with a complete kit from the Brakeman, which worked great in all conditions.

However, I, without a doubt would rather have the STi Brembo's than the stock '06 S2000 brakes.

Thanks guys. I wonder what the difference is between the calipers themselves?
