Default Brian Crower Springs and Retainers

Hey guys, I have a 2001 s2000 with 105k on it and was looking into the retainer swap.
I have searched to find nothing about JUST a spring and retainer upgrade. My main question is can I purchase the BC dual spring and steel retainer kit (it's a daily) and just install those? I'm wanting to run the BC cams later anyway but will it cause any problems just doing the upgraded springs and retainers? Thanks a bunch!

Yes you can but if you plan on getting the camshafts as well you should just wait until you have all the parts together.

I won't be getting the cams until I get a tuneven program which I haven't decided on yet, nor want to fork out the money for yet. These springs and retainers are a "now" item I guess you'd say. Thanks a bunch

I've had some issues with the bc springs busting rollers, I've had 2 rollers bust on separate cars, both with stock cams and bc springs/retainers, there are a couple of posts here showing the same thing.

We always use supertech beehive springs/retainers. The problem with most dual springs is the seat pressure is too high, you dont need 90+lbs of seat pressure. The beehives are a single spring with ~75lb on the seat and 230 open. This is more than enough for 90% of s2000 applications and they dont make all the noises that the dual springs make.

I already ordered :/ but I got the 84lb ones and I didn't want titanium retainers and the supertech only sells those.
