Ohh I know man, I wasnt by any means trying to say your liner is bad or anything like that. I'll honestly probably do this to my mugen style top when I get it, just in a black material
No offense taken. I just wanted to explain myself.

So you think a 175-185cm wide fabric would be able to cover the entire top without having to add peices? I keep thinking about this and i'm ordering my top next week I just want to get it done before I install all the seals and such.

Well I haven't ever done anything like this before. S2kpwned is a professional and my work will never be as good as a professional, but I am happy with it. I get the pleasure out of doing things my self.
I get pleasure out of doing things myself, as well. I have been thinking about doing something like yours for awhile. I originally wasn't sure about the permanent aspect of the spray adhesive, but now after having my HT headliner in for 12 months, permanent adhesive seems like the way to go as I prefer some sort of lining period over the bare shell. I can foresee pulling my HT liner out, cleaning it up and redoing it something like yours.

The only thing that stops me is my lining is super insulated with my foam base, how do you find yours on a hot day? My concern is that wrinkles and bubbles will start to appear, have you had a chance to test this yet?

Nice work and thanks for the heads up on the steps taken in the gluing process. I think I'm going to try a find a material that is wide enough to avoid the sewing sections on..

sorry if a little off topic, not meaning to jack your post... but has anyone thought about transplanting with modifications, an OEM ht lining into a Mugen top? I wanted to go this route last year, even found a used OEM liner for sale, but shipping it to Australia wasn't worth the experiment.

The Bride material has a foam base as well. I have had a few hot days since the install and no bubbles or wrinkles yet. Probably still too early to tell.

do you have a pic of this foam base ? how thick is it I'm thinking the thicker the better say 1/4-1/2 inch.?
another material I was thinking would be may be boating carpet? The Bride material may be harder to source for me.
