My friend had a pair of fake Brides in his car and they faded pretty badly after a while.

Hmm, when he still had them in his car, I think he DD'ed it during the warm months. Otherwise, it was under a car cover during the winter months... sometimes. I don't really remember as it was a while ago. That probably doesn't help, much. The car was always kept outside, though.

But his were red w/o the gradation.

some magazine did a comparison test on real vs fake seats, I believe it came out saying that doing a few mods to the fake seats (ie welding a few spots) they are just as good as the real deal.
that would be an interesting read. As would a comparison in crash tests between an authentic and replica seat.

If you can't afford real Brides, keep the OEM seats.

without starting a major argument, this is the mentality of a lot of people around here. And those people usually hate on Rota wheels, too.

who cares? If you have the $$ and want authentic Brides, buy 'em. If you don't, then it is your prerogative and that's just fine. Just don't play them off as being authentic.

This is indeed a problem with a few Bride seats in the s2k. I have Bride Vorga Type-HL seats (real ones ) and they fit perfectly. The center console and the door panel both clear the seat no problem.

The only mod I needed to do was the seat adjustment knob needed to be eliminated on both sides on the sides of the transmission tunnel. It fit great even with them, but rubbed on the carpet when brought forward too much. It was a simple mod (1 nut per seat).
