Sometimes it's not even just about the "crash test" ... the padding and everything are much more durable on the real seats. I would rather have seats that remained supportive after 10,000 miles so that I won't have back problems.

Actually, your doubts are wrong. The fake ones are made out of a mixture of suede/alacantara and cloth all in different areas. It's like left over material that they slapped together. It's kind of weird, but you will understand what I am talking about once you remove the material from the shell of the current fake ones.

I use to own 1 set of Zeta 3s, 1 set of Gias, and 1 set of Vios 3, and 1 sets of Mugen S1Rs and 1 set of rare Vision Corsas. If you look @ my history, I sold a set of Zeta 3s and a set of Vios 3 on here in the classifieds.

Now that I have stated my history, the old Bride replicas were crap; literally, they flexed, bend, faded 10x faster than the original brides, and the adjustment really sucked. However, the newer models that are for sale on Honda-tech are nearly identical. No . . . seriously, they are nearly identical in almost every way except for the stitching on the bottom of the seat and the painted FRP. I had a thread setup on ephatch.com showing the difference between my authentic Gias and the replica Gias that my friend bought from Honda-tech when they were first released. I was amazed @ how identical they were.

Well put.

My only issue with the seats is the lack of any standard. Are they FIA certified? If not (and I don't believe they are) they aren't legal to use on the track. Why buy race seats you can't actually race in? Also, I'm not saying they are necessarily inferior, however I would like PROOF they are just as good not just claims by salesmen. Especially considering how great the factory seats in the S2000 are.

Is anyone using bride replica seats. How do they look compared to the real ones?? anyone have any pics???
dude, I rocked the fake ones once! It was my fault. I didn't know I bought them fake!

They guy told me they were real, just used! One thing I can tell you is "DONT BUY FAKE BRIDE SEATS" The material is different, the feel, the weight.

In the first 2 weeks I had those seats, the material was fading, threading, falling apart!
The knobs didn't work, I can go on and on!

I had to get rid of them asap!

For the price of fake ones, you can go with the Bride Diego, or even Buddy club.

But trust me, Don't go fake!

Just like their design, the material they use could be fake Alcantara. Real Alcantara is expensive, there is no getting around that.
