Picked up a set of low max vios iii for a steal on craigslist. Little dirty but i plan on refurbishing them. They LOOK authentic to me but what through me off was the AKracing.cn tag i found on them when i was taking the covers off.. From my knowledge they now only sell gaming chairs and i dont see a number they can be reached at. Anyone shed some light either on the seats or the company?

Its your choice to use them but keep in mind fake seats may have safety issues.

 

When you say plastic harness grommets are you referring to what the harness slides through? I read the entire page but the only difference I can see there would be the fake ones have the odd cheap looking stuff around the guides where the real ones have the plastic with bride engraved into it. Not sure if im missing something or?

The replica has the boxed indent around the bride lettering similar to the photos you provided. While the authentic just has lettering. I know nothing about these seats though so it could change according to the model. But if you got them at a price to good to be true I would have to think it probably is too good to be true. Also I did a search on AK racing chairs and it seems to be a brand on alibaba the chinese ebay.

 

Wasn't familiar with Alibaba I appreciate the response I see their fake brides on there now.. Barely paid anything for them so not a huge loss may turn them into office chairs haha definitely not going to run them in my car. Thanks for the help!
