definitely fake

here are the bottoms of geniune Bride seats

Good thing the bottom of the seat is facing down when the seats are in the car! For the price I paid for the two I could care less. I'm getting a turbo with the money I saved vs real Bride seats. Plus all the ricers are gonna give me props for aftermarket goodies

the seat doesnt matter for safety, it shte mount that does. the belts bolt to the slider in our case, not directly to the chassis on the buckle side
? The Mechanism that keeps the backrest isn't a concern?

I'd rather find a deal on used real seats, or less expensive real seats from a quality manufacturer. It's more than branding for me. If my life may depend on it one day, I don'twant something with a questionable origin.

I do agree that there is no point in saving money when it is increasing your risk. However, from my experience with both real and fake bride seats I would say that safety wise you are fine. Of course the material and stitching will be off compared to real brides. Actually the only seat that I can say is not safe from my experience is the f1specs type 2 that are an s2ki sponsor.

I owned a pair of Canadian brides from Ebay. You can tell they are fake if you really know what to look for. Quality wise they were very nice. They felt very solid. I ended up building my own brackets for the seats which was a huge pain. I've been contemplating getting another pair but not being able to find cheap mounts is holding me back. I don't want to have to build them again.

no its not.

in a crash think about whats holding you in. its the seatbelt. i see your point that if you were hit from the rear, but in all truth, if it did gie you would just hit the back of the pass compartment with the back of the chair. it would have to be a pretty violent hit to really do any damage to you
