You won't need it with that small of a drop.

If you're going to use a bumpsteer gauge and do it properly, I'd install it.

If you have no idea what you're doing or are going to go with "baseline" settings, I would get rid of it.

Not sure about a gauge.. But for me, I lowered my car about 90mm. Or 3.5 inches. And I needed the bumpsteer kit. Basically when you lower your car, the steering rack gets lower in relation to the wheels. And the lower you go, the more the steering geometry gets messed up. I wouldn't think you'd need it unless you were lowering it quite a bit more than the 45mm you mentioned.

The gauge measures whether or not your BSK is actually doing anything to combat toe change under compression/rebound.

Google bumpsteer gauge and you'll get an idea.

Most people slap these kits on and don't bother using a gauge to measure - some are off worse than stock. This is a tuning tool, and as such needs to be tuned properly for each car. Buying a device with "baseline settings" is about the dumbest waste of money - and it surprises me how few people actually realize this.

The gauge itself will probably cost less than the BSK.

Your going to need a bumpsteer guage, longachre makes a great one that ive used hundreds of times on circle track cars out here in socal that travel alot more than your S2k. if you understand anything about to checking bump is fairly easy. I dont know what the kit gives but i dont like having more than .005" bump per corner. i have no idea what the S2k bumps stock so dont quote my number.
