Ok guys i bought my ap1 about 7 months ago with a rebuilt title and the fenders, hood and bumper do not match in color so i have decided to respray my whole car. My question is in regards to what i believe is a BYS spoiler. I have taken the bolts out (that i can find) but it has yet to budge a hair. Im assuming there is some glue or a double side tape on it but im scared to try to just pull it off. Anyone have an idea on what is still holding it on?

 

It is likely double sided tape. There should be at least 5 bolts to undo as well. The middle one is a pain in the ass to get. If you have a heat gun or a hair dryer a little heat helps to loosen the tape. Just be careful not to burn the paint.

 

Ok. I have gotten all 5 of the bolts out but have yet to try a heat gun. I'll have to give that a shot.

 

Update: it was double sided tape. Heated it up and used a puddy scraper to remove it

 

 

No worries its getting repainted anyways.... No damage was done.
