It also doesn't hurt the paint.. If anything it protects it! It cost me $350 for a 40' x 5' which is more than I need. Most of the time an S2 is supposed to use a 30' x 5' but I like extra for incidentals.

have you vinyld before? if not..its a pain in the ass. im just finishing my ap2 right now. lots of heat is needed to get some of the panels.
the door handles are terribly hard as well as tucking the vinyl around the soft top weather stripping since these cant be removed wihtout removing the whole softtop. (unlike the door weather stripping)

I've been thinking of wrapping my car over the winter. I plan on using Oracal which is heat based and has air release. I'm planning to disassemble most of the car to wrap each piece individually.

I wrapped an old accord of mine once, used the wrong vinyl... What a mess, I can safely say I'd never wrap a car again, though I have dipped and would go that route!

Plasti-dip for an entire car is not what any S2 owner should do..
Be careful if you want to wrap your car in the winter..

I'm wrapping my car in the heated garage. If it's too cold, the adhesive won't stick good.
I'm hoping this 3M vinyl is workable enough that I don't have to heat it too much for doors/hood/trunk. I know I will, but I'm gonna try to do as much without - because the more you heat and stretch, the more likely it is to stretch back to normal when heated again (say a hot summer day).

wrapping is definitely not an easy task. takes a lot of patience and time to get it perfect especially for a first timer. i helped out my friend wrapped his roof on his TL and it was a pain in the ass and said to myself never again lol. good luck and keep us updated.

it's not very hard to wrap a car, but it's better to get a friend to help out.

while u taking the video ,will u please be able to do more edge and cornering video shoots?

i seen some wrap car with really awful cornering wrap, n sharp edge, such as around the front edge of fender n trunk..

I wrapped two trunks, a wing and my mugen style seibon hood in that same wrap. It's pretty damn hard, and you will need that heat gun more than you think. It's not negativity that's being brought on, it's reality lol. If you go into this thinking it's going to be easy, ur going to have a bad time. I've seen a couple of people on here attempt it and tear the whole thing off. Be prepared for frustration. I did my hood with the help of 6 people, I can't see how i could have possibly done it by myself. I still have my trunk and hood wrapped, but will be plasti dipping the whole car possibly over the winter. Much easier and if done right, it can be as good of a job as vinyl. I will be making my own mix, not from a can, those jobs look like crap imo, too much texture.

tedious is an understatement ... if you died and went to hell while you were vinyl wrapping, you wouldnt even notice. I bought the 3m 1080... wrapped the trunk and ended up peeling it off and selling it for a bit of a loss.

its hell brother. I hope your ready for it. At least it was for me.
