Default Carbon hood lock

Im about to buy a carbon hood, is there any good way to lock it if the hood looks like this.

I want to use the original hood lock.

Usually carbon hoods come with a metal OE style latch either fiberglassed into the frame or bolted in. Looks like the hood you want to buy doesn’t come with the latch at all. That being the case, I’m not sure if it’s a good idea to fiberglass or bolt your own latch in—might not be safe.

If I were you, I’d search for a higher quality hood, one with a latch already built in from the manufacturer. If you are set on buying this hood, then for safety’s sake, I would buy locking hood pins like from Aerocatch. It will be a pain to open the hood, but it’ll be safer.

What Chris said. Although it does look like there is a place for a latch to be bolted on in the pic. At a minimum, you need hood pins to keep it closed up.
