The style and price will be important.

I'm not a big fan of carbon kevlar. My top of choice would be a REALLY light top that's made of dry carbon or dry carbon honeycomb and competitively priced. S2000 tops seem to be really pricey; Axis Power Racing offers an oem style dry carbon honeycomb top for Mazda Miatas. It's only $3000 and only wieghs 10lbs! (with lexan rear window of course)
So far the lightest tops appear to be Mugen and Seibon CF tops both around 30 lbs for $6k and $3k respectively (anyone know how much the Amuse CF top weighs?) Wouldn't it be possible to make a simple, perhaps oem style CF top for less than $4k that weighs less than 15lbs or even 20lbs?

Reinventing the wheel... how many variations of the hardtop can there be?
I'm sure that's what people thought of Mugen and Spoon/Mooncraft while they were developing their now legendary hardtops. I guess all I'm trying to say is that there's always room for innovation.

As far as copying the Amuse design, didn't they copy OEM, not that im saying anythign is wrong with that. The roof line is different as it doesn't allow you to have the OEM softop installed.
I remember hearing about that myself...but then I saw this pic:

Sure looks like an OEM softtop under there to me.

I would buy it if the design is right, and the price is reasonable. Are you (PWPDM) guys really going to make one? if so, is there an estimated date for a prototype to show off the design?

A S2000 with coupe body styling isnt/wasnt that radical of an idea. the design was different from other offerings at the time I agree. I was just leaving room for likeness to others concerning the PWJDM design since most design bases have been covered.

Good eye on the Amuse hardtop/ OEM soft top. I thought I remembered Diez saying that he needed to remove his soft top because it interfered with the amuse top. The Amuse top is sexy for sure... looks more OEM than OEM, seamless design, stupid price.
Yeah, I remember Diez saying that too. Maybe the Amuse top in the pic I posted was a prototype or different version...who knows?

I guess pwjdm isn't so serious about the hardtop, since they haven't posted anything here yet.

I dont think that carbon top is amuse. The window on the amuse one goes all the way down to the trunk im pretty sure. Also, Diez posted pictures of his soft top not fitting im pretty sure.
