You sir need to learn how to shift faster.
Actually you need to learn to shift slower if you take out the CDV with stock pressure plate still on the car. The stock pressure plate is crap. The CDV slows down clutch engagement just enough that you dont feel the weakness of the pressure plate quite as much. If you take it out you will need to shift even slower.

I put much lighter wheels on plus much more tire grip and then i really started to notice the clutch slip. I removed my CDV thinking it was the issue and now it slips more during fast shifts. I sometimes shift into 2nd gear and the clutch wont grap until i shift into 3rd in the meantime im just floating.

For my argument i set aside whether or not it hurts the car, because what ive read is inconclusive. But i would recommend waiting until you get a new clutch/PP/flywheel or at least just a new PP before you ever consider removing the CDV.

My thoughts exactly. Unless you upgrade your drivetrain.

The CDV protects the driveline from shock. That's a great reason to keep it.

I question everyone who claims the CDV needs to be removed as its never been established to hurt any part of the car's performance.

Go dump the clutch on a 4k 3rd to 4th shift and tell me if you feel any delay.

people who say to remove the CDV need to learn how to drive their car better. I have no issues with the CDV intact. I feel no delay whatsoever. it's in the shifting technique.

you mean, HDSS and the CDV still in?

and someone mentioned the shift technique, what shift technique? when i do shift hard i feel no delay and i can chirp 2nd and sometimes third 3rd, well not anymore evidently since i needed a new clutch. but, it is how i drive. im not back talking just curious, this is how i drive naturally. just wondering the technique that came naturally was good.
