i would imagine not that safe lol it is meant for race only applications. saving weight and safety dont go hand in hand, unless we are talking about some quality and expensive engineering, then it is a different story.

It is my understanding that the majority of the weight savings when switching to the CF doors is the omission of the side impact bars (for safety), unless you go with the high-dollar doors or if you're able to retrofit the door bars to the new CF doors. try messaging alexs2200 (sp?) as I believe he's running CF doors.

Carbon doors are very unsafe for the street. If you have a full roll cage, then it's a different story.

Well I came across some cheap ones and I had a question about it, no need to be name calling

Even if most "racers" who track dont use cf doors is probably due to the fact that they can spend that money esle where on performance.

i think you should put the money elsewhere.

i dont see the use in CF doors. theyre usually painted and no one knows their cf except you...

and safety wise, i dont think CF doors can compare to our side doors.

If there's even a chance of getting a hard door ding...no way.

Add the safety issues into that, and I'd say no thanks.

i wish everyone painted carbon fibre, its meant for weight savings, not looks. The racers who dont run them is because of safety/regulations when not having a cage. However, If they have a cage, running them would be very wise.
