So admitedly I made a small mistake when ordering through summit and chose the 11.5 pound braille battery instead of the 14.5 pound battery.
However since I've installed it a week ago I've had no cold start issues and was able to run the trunk light the whole time I was doing the rear suspension install and it still fired right up.
On the plus side it drops alot of weight from the front of the car and came with a free battery monitor
I also purchased the braille mount but it was useless so I stuck to the stock s2k holder with a piece of high temp foam under it and some 8inch j-hooks I picked up from autozone.
The brace itself was corroded so I stripped off the plastic coating and will be giving it a nice tool dip this weekend back to black.
Btw you should continue using butterfly bolts instead of nuts as it's too easy to tq down and dent the plastic top of the battery if your not carefull.
I've used 8 pound batteries in the past on b16 and b18 motors like the 60 dollar SLA batteries @ pepboys but with the supplied gold terminals and more powerfull CCA and life I would recommend spending extra
The battery is 155 through summit plus shipping here.
braille @ summit

its not 35 lbs saving, the stock battery weights around 27lbs. braille is a rebadged deka. you could of got the same battery with out the sticker for $100 less.

I used the 6.6 lbs Braille / Deka for a while, but I couldn't get the SAE terminals to quit coming loose. I can't tell you how many times I got stranded somewhere, needing a jump, since the F*#(KING terminals became too lose to charge. I'd have to get the allen wrench out of my secret compartment, tighten the posts down, then get a jump start. I tried everything, loctite, more torque, different cable approaches, etc., but they would still come loose eventually. I've retightened them so many times, with so much torque, that the terminals that the SAE posts screw into are now twisted in the battery about 20 degrees.

Batteries are sensitive to heat if your turbo is not properly shielded it will drastically shorten there lifespan or melt.
If you are having terminal issues you have alot of options the easiest being high temp loctite - I use this stuff on ar15 muzzle brakes so I know it will hold. The next is some gorilla glue longer bolts with lock washers too.
Cold start should be fine most places extreme low get the 14.5 pound version.
as for the weight loss apparently the car came with an aftermarket battery of different spec from stock as it was nearly 45 pounds.
