im not really worried about fitment issues im just wondering what the cheapest hardtop is.

You could most probably buy a 2nd hand top from ebay or something... OEM.

those mugen frp copies seem to be the cheapest usually about $900 or so shipped. plus you have to gather your mounting hardware, seals, and a window...

on the subject of hardtops, it's funny how authentic mugens or even the oem hardtop price even used is more than the cost of a used engine. i've seen lately used engines from totaled cars going for two grand and hardtops are going usually for $2500 for used oem to higher for the jdm ones. hardtops for the s2k are so ridiculously overpriced. the mugen frp copycat ones should really only go for $500, it's a damn fiberglass mold...

But naw, might as well keep your eye out for an OEM in diff color with bad paint. SInce you're not worried about fit, am I to assume color doesn't matter either?
