Default Choosing a Flywheel weight

I have an 07 the car is my dd and it drives me insane that the clutch slips at high rev shifts. The car is soon to have i/tp/e/fp. Ive done research on here and Ive decided I want to put in a ACT HD pp and oem disk along with a light weight flywheel. Im stuck between going with a fw around 8lbs or going with something a little heavier like an ap1 fw. I guess the real question is there a big difference in performance between the two.

As a former ACT DHSS owner, who has driven a Science of Speed clutched car, get the SOS kit. It's so much easier to actuate. I use an ACT Prolight flywheel. It's light, single piece, and chromoly steel. It's served me well for over 100k miles.

from the research I have done it seems like anything lighter than 10lb for dd purposes is kind of overkill. personally I plan on going with the clutchmaster kit that comes with a 9.25lb flywheel. a vendor on here sells the kit look in the sponsors section.

I'm running a competition clutch 10lb flywheel and it's been great.

I daily my car with everything stock AP2 (including the clutch delay valve) + ACT Prolite flywheel. No problems whatsoever, although in LA traffic I sometimes get lazy and bog the engine more than I should. It just requires paying a little more attention.

I put in the ACT - 8.6 lb flywheel , but I'm using an ap2 pp and oem disc, for my Ap1. It drives perfectly fine, very easy to drive.

On your current car have you checked to make sure the clutch rod freeplay is proper, if the freeplay on the clutch rod gets too tight it will slip the clutch at higher rpms.
