This is why Centerforce has a two sided disk. Genius idea and nobody else has done it.
One side is OEM for noise and feel and other side is grip for performance.

I'm still LOVING my centerforce dual friction and SOS ultralight weight FW combo.

I have over 3K on it now. still amazing.

My .02

A LWFW is the main culprit for difficult launches and driveabilty. I have an AP2 with a Comp Stage 4 clutch and a lightened AP1. Very hard to launch smoothly. And it's the LWFW that's the cause of bucking in first gear around parking lots.

I'm still debatinng on a clutch to replace the Comp Stage 4 (which is far to agressive) but a few things for sure. I'm reinstalling my AP2 FW and going with a full face disk rather than a pucked design. I'm after as close to stock feel as possible with the ability to hold the increase in power, even though I tend to granny drive the car.

^ really? This is with the ap1 14lb oem flywheel? That is what I was considering over my 22lb ap2, especially since it would be a little less weight for the pressure plate to clamp down on.

i have an ap1 fly with the SOS clutch and driveability has improved IMO compared to the OEM AP2 fly.

i don't launch the car, so I can't comment on that.

ive had my new clutch kit in for about a month now and love it. ended up doing an ap1 flywheel, oem honda disc, and couldnt decide on a pp. i ended up getting a buddies old pp and brought it to a local reputable clutch shop and had him resurface it, and modify the diaphram, said he got the clamping force from 1800 to 2350. clutch pedal is still soft, yet clutch grabs when beating on it, very easy take offs as well.

Yeah but my AP1 FW was considerably lightened. I'm taking a few pounds off my AP2 FW and going with an ACT HS1 HDSS.

FYI ACT just released a StreetLite flywheel weighing in at 11 lbs.

I think this is definitely the sweet spot for the s2k and highly recommend ACT quality.

Their other flywheel is 8.6 lbs which is not ideal for daily drivers that don't see track use.

Hmm, I didn't know you could do this.
