I think 8lbs would be a bit lite and make DD driving in stop and go a challenge, from what I understand though the Fizand (sp?) and Science of Speed flywheels are nice.

I'm just breaking in my SOS clutch and 8.5fw. Right outa the shop I was a little concerned bc it seemed to bite from a stop. They told me to allow 200 miles city driving...so...broke it in and I love it! It is a little more sensitive, but the ultra light FW is a lot of fun, definitely feel the difference in acceleration. As a bonus their is absolutely ZERO clutch buzz Worth the money, highly recommend
