Hi i need to buy a clutch soon for my 00 ap1, ive been told by a friend of mine to go with the spec stage 1 clutch. ive found it for $512 shipped, Im looking for something as good of better for a cheaper price. i dd my car, its stock besides the full exhaust(header & test pipe). any info would be great.

SPEC is a great company. Many MANY Porsche guys use them.

 

Is there an advantage to Stage 1 compared to AP1 OEM? Does the Stage 1 still have more grip?

 

get the act street kit, from nolimitmotorsports.com they have amazing deals. also read alot of reviews of spec clutches are very noisy

 

IMO, the stock clutch (made by excedy) is excellent. You only need someting different if your FI or something. Exedy does have an upgraded clutch, but last time I looked on their site it was way more expensive.

 

the website isn't working, do you know how much that clutch goes for?
and how much noise is very noisy
