Clutch Needed
Well I am currently building an F24. Aftermarket rods, after market pistons (12.5:1) head work ect. And a big shot of nitrous. My question is, I'm looking for a clutch that will hold the power, not slip, is streetable and most importantly WONT BUZZ. Any ideas?
What is your expected max wheel torque?
Most of the low-end FI guys stick with the ACT HD pressure plate and OEM friction disc/AP1 flywheel. Another option would be the SOS sport clutch which is a pressure plate/friction disc combo, but it has a bit more chatter at low-speed engagement (no buzz though, and stock pedal pressure/feel). Some guys have had success with the Competition Clutch Stage 2 *I think* but I've read reviews that all CC products buzz.
The FI section should have tons of info on entry-level aftermarket clutch options including those mentioned above.

Im not sure wheel tq. I just dont want the clutch to slip when shifting gears and the nitrous comes on (we are hooking it in through vtec, so when vtec is in and the pedal is WOT the nitrous is on). I heard the AP2 disk doesnt buzz or chatter. Would the AP2 disc, ACT pressure plate and light weight flywheel work?
The only friction disc you can buy from Honda now is the AP2 disc. They don't make the old AP1 friction disc anymore because it was "recalled" due to the clutch buzz TSB.
So yes, the OEM friction disc, ACT HD pressure plate, and lightweight flywheel should work, as I don't think you'll be exceeding any of the low-end FI guy's setup numbers with what you're looking to do. I would caution against going too light on the flywheel though, as many members have done the same and gone back to the AP1 flywheel because they didn't like the feel/engagement.
