time for new clutch
The last two trips to the local road course have resulted in the clutch slippage in VTEC. I'm assuming that this means I need a new friction disk (aka clutch disk). Would you guys just put OEM parts back in, or would anyone go with a ACT pressure plate and use their organic street clutch disk, or ACT with OEM disk?

Are you sure it's the clutch slipping and not the inside rear wheel being lifted?
I have to let the RPMs drop to about 6-6.5k (depending on gear) for the clutch to not slip.
If that is what you guys USUALY do, then I've really been beating the crap out of my clutch!
Either way...its done.

That's what I usually TRY to do. If I let it out to high, though, it just kicks the tires loose for a second. I doubt anyone is harder on their clutch and transmission than I am (I'm a horrible shifter), but mine's still going strong at 41,000 miles and tons of 7,000RPM launches and about 10-15 track days.

What did me in, I think, was my down shifting technique, or lack thereof. I finally realized that I was slipping the clutch in a lot vs rev matching. I spent the last track day being easier on the clutch, but I could probably still get it to slip if I wanted to.
