Competition Clutch failure
I want to chime in. Have a Competition Clutch stage 4 on my 4th engine, 3 of them boosted up to 440whp 299ft trq, and maybe 5 years and unknown miles but I'd guess 30k. Not a single issue to speak of. I actually love it, pretty quite, and rev's crazy fast making heel toe very easy on track. It took getting used to in beginning, but now it's a RARE occasion I kill engine. So I don't know if I'd be saying their all junk.

Update: I spoke with CC today, and I'm basically SOL because they want me to send back the entire kit ( I can't because I used the PP ) so they can see it for them selfs what went wrong. They told me that discounts on new parts would have been available, and possibly a full refund of purchase price.
IMHO I think they wanted to take the part back, say it was the fault of the installation that their parts don't fail. Offer me some discount on new stuff (witch I wouldn't buy) all of this happening 6 moths down the road when they were done "inspecting" it. I did offer to send them just the disk as it was the only faulty part, but they said they needed the whole thing. Whats kills me is I have the original clutch that had 70,xxx miles on it sitting next to the CC with maybe 10k on it and the stock one is perfect. It's all BS but lesson learned.
Car is back together and running great. Just have to put some miles on her before the weekend autocross.
I could be wrong about the company, but who has the time to have their cars down for any length of time. What if I didn't work at a shop or have the money to fix it. I daily drive my car it's my only car, how long would I have to sit around for them to get back to me. Bottom line is I don't have the time, or really the money for bad/cheaply manufactured parts CC has a good reputation so I trusted them.
Sorry for the rant, I'm still pretty pissed.

It sucks man I'm in the exact same boat.... I'll just chalk it up for a loss. If they want to give me a deal on anything I'd have to find something other than clutch parts .. But did you have problems with engaging and disengaging with your clutch or did it just slip all the time. Mine seems to shift fine between 3&5 k rpm also shifts fine at eight.
My problems seem to occur on takeoff , shifting between 3rd 4th and 5th, and when I tried to accelerate over normal acceleration I get a slip. And I'm sure you know this but even that new non chatter clutch is horribly loud
i'm quite surprised by this. I have 250hp with a comp stage 4 + lwfw and i've done over 30k. This thing takes abuse like no other. I mean, i drift my car, so, endless clutch kicks. I'm partially amazed that after 24+ hours of drifting, nothing has broken, only 14+ pairs of rear tires have lost their treads.

If you have an AP2 I would suggest removing the CDV, AP1 or 2 I would switch out the factory clutch line for a SS one. The SS line from BalladSports was well priced and works great, one of my favorite mods yet.
If yours is slipping all the time did you ever adjust the pedal engagement, it may be that you are never fully coming off of the PP.
Also to the guys running stage 4 clutches, I would truly hope that a stage 4 clutch would never break, ever. Stage 2 clutches are meant to be a middle ground for people who want a performance clutch but don't want the noise/ operation of a 3 or 4. The problem is the 2s being sold offer very little of an "upgrade" over stock using poorly designed units, and cheap materials. Then they pass it of as an upgrade, when really they are selling ticking time bombs, where the question is not will it break but when it will break. You should not have to worry about a new clutch for at least 80k, mine didn't make it 10k. It's absolute crap they are selling.

Oh and yes the noise off my clutch was terrible, I thought it was lightened flywheel buzz, but after feeling how crappy (had side to side deflection, spun freely with lots of noise) the TO bearing was. The pilot bearing felt like a bad bearing ( like a bad wheel bearing catching and bumpy and noisy operation ) I have very little doubt that the system wouldn't. Have been as loud using the factory bearings.
The funny thing about the pilot bearing is once removed from the flywheel it operated normally, I reinstalled it into my AP2 FW and still had a catch to it, basically it was to big and being installed was crushing it.
