Hey I want to complete my CR conversion on my JDM 2004 AP1, so yea it is basically a AP2 with AP1 engine. So I am thinking if I get a AP1 Steering rack to replace my AP2 steering rack now then it would be completed?

Is AP1 and AP2 steering rack interchangeable? Since I cannot use the LHD CR edition parts, except may be the steering rack stiffeners?

Im not sure whats the steering ratio spec for the JDM Type-S, may be I can order those instead?

Please advice...

 

Are you sure that the steering rack in your model is not the same AP1 steering rack you can find in US models?

 

Why bother swapping the parts if they arent CR parts?

 

Yes Im sure because it has a different steering ratio when compared to my friends 1999 AP1 S2000

Because what I want is the CR steering ratio, CR steering ratio 13.8:1 = AP1 steering ratio 13.8:1 . And also CR only comes in LHD, which wont work with my RHD. So I either opt with a AP1 steering rack, or to confirm a JDM Type-S rack has the same steering ratio. Of coz I will install the CR steering rack stiffeners while at it.

 

Can any one help me to confirm the JDM S2000 Type-S Steering ratio? And also JDM S2000 Type-S Steering Rack part number?

i believe the carbon look radio door and center console is CR only.

this one is driven by Motoharu Kurosawa 黒澤元治. there is no shifting light on the cluster.
