Comptech Icebox in 2006+ S2000 CR

Default Comptech Icebox in 2006+ S2000 CR

Guys, I got the USED Comptech Intake yesterday, try to install into 2008 S2000CR. I'm still missing few parts to get this thing work in my car. Wish me luck~!

List below are items I have to get it work~!

1x 1/4 x 11L reinforced hose for your ridator ports.
1x 1/2 x 14L reinforced hose for intake to your engine.
1x 5/8" Drill bit
1x Grommet;15/16”OD,3/8”ID,17/32” Thk. 1 08100
3x 10mm custom bolt for secure the icebox
1x Caplug; .750”ID 1 08119

I will post the picture soon after the project is complete~!

Finally complete!

Here are the list of components u need
5x6mm x 16mm hex bolt and 10 x washers
4 x 10-24 x 1/2 screw and washer
L bracket 8 x 8 mm
Pad stickers
Black tape
1/4 radiator hose x 1 feet
1/2 radiator hose x 1 feet

Tools u lneed
Pill screw driver
Flap head
10mm socket
8mm socket

1. Remove the housing intake box, temperature sensor and disconnect air hose from intake and radiator hose connect on throttle body
2. Replace the raidtor hose with 1/4 hose
3. Remove the bracket next radiator
4. Remove the horn
5. Bolt with 6mm bolt w washer along with horn and L bracket at that housing bracket u removed from step 3
6. Using wall mount plastic insert to the side fender hole
7 mount the air box from the back bracket first, make u add 3 washers between bracket and ice box ( using 6mm bolt)
8. Using 10-24 screw with bolt to secure the icebox at front. Mount that to the front of L bracket
9. Insert 6mm bolt using hammer slowly tap.the bolt into plastic wall mount
10 once the icebox secure connect the tub to icebox and connect the hose and air temperature sensor to the lower tube
11 using black tap over the sensor or u can get bracket from ct $20
12 mount the filter and place the pad sticker between the lid and the icebox
13 secure with 10-24 screw, now u complete!

yes, feel some HP gain and more responsive~! Also the noise it was awesome, great stuff definally worth time and every penny to get it works~!

I had the Fuj CAI before, it feels has same HP gain at low to mid power, but I notice the speed acelerate pretty fast than CAI~!

From Comptech(CT engineer), it will add 6-8WHP depends on the millage on the car.

Glad I found this.

wonder if anyone has installed the airbox on an '06+ and had any rubbing issues. I know I ran into issues with my '05 when I installed the airbox.. wondered if the '06 and up have the same issue..

my hood didn't rub because i had the box pushed down pretty far.. the downside to that was the line below the box (i want to say a/c line) hit the box and would vibrate
