Hello,

I have the Comptech Intake box on my 02 and wanted to see if anyone has done anything to help draw cold air from the front of the car to its inlet? Wanted to see if there was anything like the snorkel kits that one could make??

Any thoughts suggestions ?

I just cut out holes in the fake vents and put grills on them maybe helped just a little

 

i have same intake as well, i woudl like to know that too

 

I did a few with a shop vac hose zip tied to a modified black funnel behind the grill and snaked it along the side of the radiator into the airbox. You know it worked good because there was a dirty spot on the filter after a week. Just watch out not to drive through any deep puddles or any significant amount of water. After all is said and done the mod is not even noticeable unless you point it out to someone.

 

I did the same on my integra.

water won't be a problem if you either put some vacuum relief holes in the airbox or hose. You don't want it to be airtight or water will come right in.

 

Hey Hygineboy do you have any pics. Want to get ideas on funnel types that would work the best.
