Stock clutch will hold for low psi as long as you don't launch hard. Eventually you will want to replace the clutch though. For additional information look to the forced induction forum.

my oem clutch wouldn't hold up with 9k shifts from 1st to 2nd shifts, 4.77 gears and 255 tires. i have a competition clutch stage 2 now but i don't have the supercharger anymore (soft springs but grippier disk).

If your clutch is good now shouldn't be a problem if you stay at 7 psi or under.
I made 343whp with my vortech sc at 7 psi. Hard shifts but no launches. I also have 138k miles on my oem clutch. Holds perfect!

I am upgrading shortly as I am upping the boost however.

wow, when i had my non-ac comptech at 7psi even on a cold winter day i'd be extremely lucky to even touch 300whp. good thing i had the 4.77s to make it stoplight quick.

When I installed my SOS Base Kit (i.e., 6 psi, dyno'd 315+ whp) in my ap2, my clutch started slipping pretty bad in higher loading gears like 4th and above 6k. My car had about 33k miles on it when I installed the SC, and the CDV had been removed for quite some time.

Within a week or so, I installed the SOS sport clutch kit with an ap1 flywheel.

Weird that mine is holding so well. I think ap1 clutch was stronger than ap2 from
What I remember. If that's true could be why. I also have never burned my clutch or launched or anything so that helps I know.
