The module is behind the "glove compartment slots" pull out the insert (2-3 screws) and you should be able to access it.

Did this mod about 6 years ago, really has come in handy for me in Seattle area when you hit a rain cloud. I'm always top down so it’s a nice feature to have. I don’t have a rear window acting as a parachute either so I can go faster without risking damage. 45mph is about as ballsy as ive been willing to go. Pretty funny to witness from other drivers perspective I bet. I always get weird looks from people driving around top down on a drizzly 40 degree day anyway

Hey guys I have a Newbie question, Will doing this "trick" with the ebrake at JUST 1 CLICK prematurely wear out the ebrake or is it not even really engaged at that point? If it does wear it (even the slightest) I'm probably going to bypass having the brake up as well. Thanks!

How much wear is 6 sec of one click e brake going to incur? Virtually none.

Default Convertible Top Bypass of VSS Input Wire (White, Black Stripe) '07 Photos

Sharing some pics from my '07 since cloud rot seems to have eliminated some of the pics on this and other threads about this tweak. For most sane people, it's a safety issue allowing you to raise/lower your top while rolling under 10 MPH instead of having to do a complete stop (and raising the ire of those behind you).

Middle Phillips screw (and the two trim buttons on left and right) need to be removed before you carefully pull this part of your dash rearward to disengage the 6 clips which then gets you access to the Convertible Top Controller harnesses

There are two of these trim buttons (left and right as shown) you need to carefully remove on year models with this type of dash pockets ('07 shown)

Location of the Convertible Top Controller

White wire with black stripe and gray markers is the one to VSS. Clip it and tape over both ends. This is the "B" harness (toward right side) on the Convertible Top Controller
