Default convertible top wear

Hey anyone have this problem and have a good solution?
I have a 2007 s2000 and I am interested if any one has used Modifry (modifry.com)convertible top fix.
I have a pin hole developing on both sides of my convertible top. I am sure it is wear from rubbing while top is in its down position since it is rarely up. Do you know where the wear is coming from? Is the top resting on a metal bar or something else in the closed position and rubbing due to vibration ... on the outside or inside of the top? If you know, I would appreciate your help. And also will this strap help my situation ? How do I fix these small holes??
Thanks, Leo

i've patch holes in mine using a piece of original top and black rtv patching on the inside. my patches have lasted for couple years now. not attractive but prolongs getting a new top for the time being.

It would be helpful if you showed where the holes are. If the holes are right by the soft top latches, near the A-pillars, then it would help to get new elastic straps. However, even with new straps, you really should "help" the middle support bar move back when the top is folding down. Otherwise, the bar might get stuck during the fold, and cause the top latch to rub hard on the canvas while also not letting the top fold all the way down.

Hey, I am going to buy these modifry (modifry.com) elastic straps since it will not hurt and also put clear tape on bars with added strip patching where rubbing is happening. I will use
Convertible top repair patch kit The Black Hole Patch Kit #120993823617 (on e-bay. If anyone has used this product patch kit , please let me know. /Leo

the black rtv is flexible and it sticks well to the top material. as far as top material for patching, seek someone who has had a top changed for a piece of it. cut it to size for the hole, apply black rtv to it and put it in place. make sure to let it cure.
