Default CR wing without the CR base (pedestal)?

I have a CR wing with the CR base. I love the wing, I hate the base that comes with it. Has anyone able to use some other base for it besides the OEM one?

I believe that's vooper, a good friend of mine. I've seen it in person and spoke to him about it and the work that went into getting it to look right was extensive, both to the trunk and to the CR wing.
