Default Curtis (etrailer) hitch install help

So I have this hitch for my 2008 s2000:
http://www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Hitc...eid=2008301847

The instructions are not very clear at all on how to install the bolts. They show some kind of rail in the trunk, but dont explain how to get access to put the bolts into it. I am about to take a hole saw to my trunk and need to know if there is some other way. The install time is 30 minutes to an hour, what a joke! Especially when I have to tear the carpet out of the trunk and figure out how to mount the stupid thing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

I don't see where it says to take carpet up in the trunk. Everything can be done from the bottom. You have to use the fishwire technique, drill two holes and widen a few holes.

But why would you bother. If this is that much work why don't you investigate the "hidden hitch" behind the rear license plate that a member came up with earlier this year or late last. I think Gladman was going to produce a kit and it doesn't hang down like this one does.
