Cargo Net Install help
Just found a cargo net for the trunk in the compartment that holds the jack etc. Maybe it was a freebie? Anyone have one and know where the hold downs mount??? Like to install it. Thanks in advance
i had the dealer install the "posts" that hold the net. they put them in so that the net can either hang in the very back of the trunk, or can cover the trunk area. they didnt charge for the install since it was "so easy" to do... wonder if the shop manual discusses this?
go to http://www.handa-accessories.com/s2000.html , you can view the installation instructions in a pdf file.

I just installed mine a few weeks ago. IMO, its not really worth it, but maybe I'll change my mind after I haul groceries.
The instructions on the site talk about the 2 "upper clips". This was the only confusing part. There are 2 sets of clips on the very back of the trunk, and the upper two are the ones you want to remove. The other 4 clips you replace are on the bottom. Its not quite clear from the diagram. You have to drill out the lower 4 clips and I had to remove the spare tire to do this on one. I couldn't find an 8 mm drill bit, but I think it was a 5/16 was close enough (its like 7.94mm)
The well nuts have rubber in the bottoms and you rotate them clockwise into position while pressing on them. They will tighten down eventually...some seemed loose at first, but turning them eventually led to them becoming tight.
The net is kind of small to be real useful, but you can drop things in the little well in the truck and cover them to hold them down. I found that when I really went to buy groceries, I drove the Camry or the groceries filled the truck so there was no need for a cargo net hahaha.
