I have seen multiple car fires- so I carry one in my car. I also have a turbo and an external oil cooler so i have several lines and fittings that can potentially start a fire. Mine is also in my trunk (where it will stay). Good idea though.
better to have and not need than to need and not have

Seriously! Track guys would appreciate it. The S is known for the oil filter coming lose and starting a fire when improperly installed BTW.

Same here, except mine is loose, not "mounted". It's lodged between the floor and seat when the seat is moved forward.

This bracket looks, dare I say, flimsy. Is it aluminum?
I've thought about mounting mine on the rollbar, but, would be too difficult to get to in a hurry.

Also, there was a ruleset by Redline Time Attack back in the day that required you to have a fire bottle inside the vehicle cabin. Trunk won't work.

I really wanted to do this, just didnt want to mess with the carpet or anything. IMO it is the best spot you could put it. Im up for some pictures if you have them...

The bracket is .12" thick aluminum and is pretty strong, The holster the bottle came with would fail before the bracket I believe. I am not to sure about all the regulations when at the track as i am taking it to the track the first time in August, i guess ill ask there and see what there opinion is on it.
