Custom twin exit exhaust - bore size?

Custom twin exit exhaust - bore size?
Hey guys, i'm going to have a system fabricated. i know 3" is best for performance. so obviously the B pipe would be a 3". If having a twin would it be correct to go down to a 2.5" pipe to the backboxes or would it best to stay 3" the whole way through?
